Tom Pigeon Form Necklace Bar
FORM BAR NECKLACE
The bar necklace is panelled to the front and has solid Formica on the reverse. The brass panel on this piece is uncoated but been waxed to reduce oxidisation. Over time the brass metal will age naturally, developing a richer, darker tone. We recommend that you treat your Form necklace with care and store it safely in its box when not being worn.

All of the Tom Pigeon jewellery is made by hand, in their studio in Fife using a mixture of modern and traditional techniques and materials.
The metal pieces are precision etched in a family-run workshop on the West coast of Scotland before being finished in our studio. The metal used in the pieces is gently waxed to slow patination and tarnishing. Over time brass, copper and stainless steel will become darker and richer, developing a unique patina. To restore the original shine it is recommended that you gently polish with extra-fine wire wool. Alternatively you can use a polishing cloth (Tom Pigeon use Sunshine Polishing Cloths in the studio) or a gentle, polishing compound. Newly polished metal can be waxed with Renaissance Wax to protect the surface and avoid further tarnish. The stainless steel used is grade 316L (surgical steel). It won’t tarnish but if you want to polish it you can gently rub with a polishing cloth or use a soft cloth and a very small drop of vegetable oil or sweet almond oil.
Tom Pigeon jewellery is splash proof but please avoid direct contact with water, perfume, creams and other sprays as these may cause discolouration. Where we have supplied your jewellery in a box, we recommend that you store it in this. All jewellery is best stored in a box or another container to avoid scratches and discolouration. Keeping metal jewellery air tight will slow down the rate at which it develops a patina.
Tom Pigeon work with a family-run etching workshop on the West coast of Scotland to produce the bespoke metal pieces for our jewellery and then cut, polish, assemble and finish every piece by hand in the Tom Pigeon studio. Packaged in a traditional black stitched box with brass emboss.
