“Jetsam” is the central part of the Shipwreck series of three inter-connecting screen prints: The other two prints in the series are Flotsam and Lagan. Inspired by beachcombing and exploring the rhythm, colour and shapes of the natural and man-made objects washed up on the shores of Tom Pigeon’s home on Scotland’s East Fife coast.
‘Jetsam’ is an open edition signed A2 screen print, printed in coral, grey, navy and yellow on beautifully speckled heavyweight 200gsm Favini Corn Crush paper.
Tom Pigeon screen prints are hand-pulled using waterbased inks in a Glasgow print workshop tucked away under a railway arch. Sold unframed, rolled in acid free tissue paper and packaged in a cardboard postal tube.

Tom Pigeon partner with people who know their craft to deliver the very best prints they can, using a variety of techniques and some of the world's best paper.
The Tom Pigeon screen prints are hand pulled using water based inks in Glasgow by Ben who custom mixes all of the TP inks especially for them by hand. It’s a traditional process and the colours and registration may vary slightly from print to print. Likewise most of their prints are printed onto recycled paper which often has small flecks of recycled material embedded in the paper, these will also vary from print to print.
These aspects are part of what makes each print unique.
The foiled prints are hot foil stamped in the North West of England. The final appearance of the foil can vary depending on the paper it’s printed on and the appearance of the foil can vary from print to print.
Unless otherwise stated all of our prints are supplied unframed. Wherever possible, the prints are designed to fit standard size off-the-shelf frames but if you want to really look after them we recommend you have them professionally framed. Please avoid hanging them in direct sunlight as this may cause colours to fade over time.
